BEST MORNING STRETCH – FOLLOW ALONG AND RELAX


stretching is an important part of
staying fit no matter what level you’re at this video will help you relax your
whole body with a series of stretches you can follow in real time over the
next eight minutes. you can do this first thing in the morning
or after a workout to help repair your muscles , each position is one minute and
we’ll give you a cue to change sides whenever you need to. bookmark this video
ready for the next time your body needs a good stretch. so let’s get started and
first make yourself comfortable seated on the floor take your left foot over the right knee
and twist to the opposite side 30 seconds back straight head up and breathe in five seconds change sides right foot
over the left knee and twist to opposite side as you breathe stand up feet hip
distance apart open the chest fold forward and drop the
head forward bend. if it’s more comfortable take a slight bend in the
knee, feel the hamstrings stretch at the back of the legs okay 30 seconds bend the knees inhale
come up as you exhale go down again this time
slightly deeper tucking the hands under the feet, drop the head. if you prefer
rest your hands on your shins. as you breathe you’ll also feel the stretch in
the lower back. next it’s a lunge with twist left foot forward right leg back
supporting yourself with your right hand on the floor twist and take your left
arm up look up towards your left hand and breathe now change sides right foot forward left
foot back twist to the opposite side right hand in the air
look up and rest. next let’s lie down for a
figure four stretch. bring your left ankle to your right knee raise your
right leg hands behind the right knee and breathe back flat to the floor deep breaths now let’s change sides right ankle to
the left knee hands behind the left leg really open up the hip joints here now kneel on your right knee left foot
forward and twist to the left right hand on the left knee if your knee feels
uncomfortable use a towel, and breathe ready to change sides? and change right
foot forward twist to the right spine straight head up next let’s lie down on the floor for a
need to chest stretch take hold of your left knee and as you
breathe pull your knee into your chest that’s 30 seconds change sides right
knee to your chest left leg straight get ready to change now stretching the
front of your leg lying on your side bend one leg grab your ankle and hold
quad stretch feel the stretch down the whole of the
front of your leg and breathe good now change sides over to the
opposite side take hold of your ankle and stretch coming up to the last stretch now lay
down on your front hands flat in front of you and stretch up. Sphinx position head looking up and breathe keep your
chin up feel the stretch down the whole of the
front of your body all the way down to your quad muscles, deep breaths as you go and that’s it. as you stand, take a few
deep breaths in and out getting your whole body energized again if you’re
