(upbeat music) – Up down up down up down perfect. Up and then down up yes down up perfect. (upbeat music) Ryan this is one of my favourite posterior chain exercises. It’s called a SuperPerson, not a Superman not a Superwoman a SuperPerson. You’re gonna lay face down
on the mat all the way flat and what I’m gonna have you
do is I’m gonna put your fingers against your temples so your elbows are out and your fingers against your temples and I’m gonna have you lift your chest and thighs off the ground. Up yes down up perfect so you want to think about lifting your shoulders off the ground and your thighs off the ground. Now you don’t need to bring the upper bodies high but I want you to bring the lower body
higher than it’s going. – Up? – Yep, here we go up there we go there we go much better much more balance and now we’re really isolating that lower back muscle and hitting the top of the gluts and the lower back right where they communicate with each other and opening up the front of the body. We’ll have two, one more and relax pause. Now we’re going to do a
variation, we’re going do a alternating version. Put your left arm forward all the way and I’m gonna have you
lift your left arm up and then your right leg up at the same time up down up down up perfect. So now not only are we working
the posterior chain the lower back the top of the gluts but we’re doing it
diagonally across the body. Switch sides right arm
forward left arm back perfect so you really wanna feel that left glut contract and that right lower back so it’s this right lower back and the left glut. Both contracting at the same time. One lifting the upper body
one lifting the lower body we’re gonna do three two
one and relax good job. (tempo music)
