How to do a Triceps Extension (Alternate Exercise): Health e-University


Tricep extension with band. We will be using an exercise band for resistance. Tie your exercise band to make a loop. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart
and knees slightly bent. Draw your belly button in towards your spine. Hold one end of the loop in your right hand
and rest your right elbow against your right side. Bend your elbow to make a 90 degree angle. This is like forming the capital letter “L”
between you upper and lower right arm. Hold the other end of the loop in your left
hand. Cross your left arm across your chest, resting
your left hand on your right shoulder. Extend your right hand downwards until your
right arm is almost straight. Your right hand should now be by your right
hip. Return slowly to your start position. Straighten your arm down towards the floor
to a count of 2 and bend it back up to a count of 3. Do not hold your breath. Just breathe normally. Repeat until you have finished 10 to 15 repetitions. Then switch to your left side.
