Lower Back Stretch – An Easy Stretch for a Healthy Back


Hi I am Tom Holland Bowflex Fitness Adviser. Here is an easy back stretch for a healthy back. Now statistics show us that around 80% of people are going to have back pain at some point in their lives, so we need to
strengthen and we need to stretch our backs. This is an easy stretch you can do
anytime, anywhere to really help loosen up the back. So Lisa’s gonna lie back,
she’s gonna stack her hips nice and bent to about 90 degrees, and then she’s just going to drop them to one side, pressing the opposite arm down into the
floor. So right now she’s gonna feel a stretch right in that lower back. A nice gentle stretch. She’s gonna hold that anywhere from 10 to 60 seconds. This is an easy stretch to do in front of the TV, if you’re in an office, you can take take a couple minutes throughout the day do a couple of these stretches. And now she’s just gonna bring those legs up and over and do the same thing to the other side, pressing the opposite
arm down into the ground. She can do this a couple times throughout the day. It’s going to help alleviate the tightness from sitting, from exercise, and it’s so simple.
