while and he puts out some awesome research this is no exception
going back to Nick Winkelman and Dr. Nick Winkelman the research is based on loci of focus what that means is where you are putting your attention during
your wrap this is very cool dr. Nick Winkelman has mentioned for hypertrophy
-meathead training that I do typically you want to focus on the muscle place
your intention on contracting the muscle pretend like you’re posing on stage
every time you contract the muscle during training that’s really going to
cause an inefficient contraction which is what we’re after because we want the
metabolic stress that is going to help facilitate hypertrophy or strength
training you focus more on moving the load, unfortunately far too many of us
are focused on just moving the load moving the bar of the dumbbell whatever
it is that is not the way to do it if you are not in a strength training phase
you’re looking for muscle gain hypertrophy Dr. Brad Schoenfeld and
colleagues has shown that intrinsic loci of focus focusing on that muscle
contraction versus moving the load that is going to give you an increase in the
high perch feet the key was they give biceps and quadriceps only the bicep
size statistically significant difference this is probably because it’s
a lot easier to contract the biceps so if you haven’t done this before make
sure you’re doing this intrinsic load side focus art with your biceps
something that’s easy something you can really squeeze pose in the mirror if you
have to do to get the feel doesn’t really matter but get that intrinsic
loci of focus it’s going to help your gains. For more tips on muscle gain check
