Piriformis muscle anatomy (GDY body1st 19)

Welcome back geniuses~ I’m the one who is you are waiting
for more than your summer vacation. I’m GDY. Do you have any pain around
your sacrum and posterior pelvic area? Or do you have symptoms
of numbness in your legs, and suspect the piriformis syndrome? The muscles we will study today
can have a severe effect on the body type imbalance
in your hip joint and sacrum. Today’s main focus is the piriformis muscle.
First, let’s draw~! Take a picture of your pelvis and thigh. Draw your pelvis and femur bone
on the picture. The piriformis muscle attaches
to the pelvic surface of the sacrum. It is positioned diagonally. And it attaches to the superior border
of the greater trochanter of the femur. When your sacrum is fixed, if the
piriformis is concentrically active, the femur bone can rotate. Will the femur bone rotates
internally or externallay? Let’s look at the piriformis. It attaches to the sacrum as it goes backward
from the greater trochanter of the femur. It can never move the femur inward. In a standing position, the hip joint is rotated externally when the piriformis muscle is
concentrically active. If your client’s hip joint is rotated to external, his piriformis muscle will be
shorter than normal. On the contrary, If your client’s
hip joint is rotated to internallay, his piriformis muscle will be
longer than normal. Let’s look at the piriformis posteriorly. When your sacrum is fixed, if
the piriformis is concentrically active, the superior border of the greater
trochanter move to the sacrum. The femur bone will be abducted. In a standing position,
the hip joint is an abducted outward when the piriformis muscle
is concentrically active. If your client’s hip joint is
abducted rather than neutral, his piriformis muscle will be
shorter than normal. On the contrary, if your client’s
hip joint is adducted rather than neutral, his piriformis muscle will be longer than normal. Let’s summarize the body types in which
the piriformis muscle will be shorter than normal. A body type in which the hip joint
is externally rotated. A body type in which the hip joint
is abducted rather than neutral. Let’s summarize the body types in which
the piriformis muscle will be longer than normal. A body type in which the hip joint is internally rotated. A body type in which the hip joint is
adducted, rather than neutral. This is the body type anatomy quiz~! Which person has the shortest piriformis? A person whose hip joint is
externally rotated rather than neutral. A person whose hip joint is
abducted rather than neutral. A person whose hip joint is
rotated externally rather than neutral and abducted rather than neutral. A person whose hip joint is
externally rotated and at the same time has an abducted hip joint has
a super short piriformis muscle. Do you want to make the piriformis shorter?
Do it like this. Step1. Stand with your legs spread wider than usual. Step2. Rotate the thigh outside. Step3. Hold this posture for a long time. Step4. Use this posture, especially when you exercise. The shortened piriformis muscle
can pressure the sciatic nerve. You will feel numb in your legs. You can pressure the sciatic nerve
that passes below the piriformis muscle even when the piriformis is
stretched too much and feels tense. You will also feel numb in your legs. Your sciatic nerve can be free from pressure
when it is neither short nor elongated, but rather a normal length. In regard to piriformis syndrome, it’s not just a problem with the piriformis muscle. You should also correct your ankle imbalance. And your knee joints, of course. I’ve seen in the last ten years that
a person with a short piriformis muscle has also been shortening the
supraspinatus muscle on his shoulder. To cure piriformis syndrome, the entire body type
from head to toe should be evaluated. We are studying it step by step. Do not just sit there and watch.
Act on it. Don’t just look at it. Make it yours.
You can Do it. First, draw the piriformis muscle. So think about it. Is the length of
my piriformis muscle normal or abnormal? You can tear it up! The piriformis muscle. If you want to see more pictures,

to be a Genius of body type. See you soon, guys. I spend every summer with my family in Jeju Island. We’ve been going there every summer for four years. Have you ever been to Jeju Island? It is so peaceful on the beach in Jeju Island. I like Jeju pork belly, horn sora,
sushi, and Udo peanut ice cream. There are so many awesome cafes, too. And most of all, there are 3 body1st masters, Lee Hwa-young, Kim Min-Seo, and Kim Tae-Hyung, whom I love so much live in Jeju Island.

    그냥 통증 완화외에는 매스차이로 커버 안됩니다. 입상가 급으로 이론은 잘 아시는데 실무적으로 초기문제가 완화되지 매스가 균등하게 활성화는 실무가 너무 어렵습니다 …….;;;
    휴….
    유튜브에서는 소통이 불가능하시니 참 답답하네요.
