Sources of healthy protein

– Hi everyone, my name is Katelyn and I’m a nutrition expert
here at Vanderbilt Health. So a lot of people think
that protein is bad for them or we can only get
protein from meat sources. However protein is very healthy and there is lots of
different foods out there aside from meat that are really
great sources of protein. Lean ground beef is low in
fat, low in cholesterol, and a great source of protein. Three ounces has about
25 grams of protein. So the second one is Greek yogurt. One cup is low in fat and
has 15 grams of protein. So another great protein source. Now I also love hard-boiled eggs. One medium sized hard boiled egg has about six grams of protein. I love boiling my eggs at nighttime, throwing them into the refrigerator, and grabbing them on my way to work. It makes for a perfect on-the-go mid-morning snack. Lentils are actually very delicious and a great source of protein. A half a cup of cooked lentils has about 12 grams of protein. So substitute that lean beef in your tacos for some lentils and
call them lentil tacos. So remember to incorporate protein into your meals and snacks. Just be mindful about choosing

  1. 3.5 ounces of Soya chunks contains more then 50gm of protein . Plz stop giving excuses to stop killing other animals . Open your mind .
