Take a Mindful breathing minute to stop tiredness & muscles ache


After a day of working on my computer… on my ipad…or leaning over and treating Acupuncture patients, I find that my head, neck and shoulders can get really tight. And when they get tight… I find that my brain either starts to feel really heavy and clogged and foggy, or else it starts to get into a whole whirlwind of thoughts.. that are really hard to stop. The other thing I have found is that when I am concentrating and focussed for quite long periods of time, my tummy starts to get a little bit tight. It sort of braces up to help that mental focussing process that I do. Perhaps you’ve found… you have the same sort of things going on in your body? Now the trouble with… having all of that body tightness… all of the time… is that it really restricts your breathing. And when your breathing is restricted, your oxygen flow is restricted, and when your oxygen is restricted, your muscles are not getting all the energy they need… to do the jobs they need to do, and you start to feel quite tired and lethargic. But…the cool thing is that’s really easy to reverse. Just sit down… and do a minute, a mindful minute of mindful breathing. Give it a go right now… sit down… relax your shoulders… relax your tummy… let your arms rest on your lap… and then pay attention to your breathing… just let your mind follow… what your breath is doing… as it flows in and out of your body. Now you stick with this… for at least a minute… and see how you feel. Meanwhile, I would just like to say, if you have any questions… put them in the box below, and I’ll answer them.
