Towel Exercises & Stretches : Towel Exercises: Quad Stretch


This exercise using the towel is called the
Quad stretch. And you just want to come on down to a prone position. Bring your towel
around your foot. And just gently pull, lifting your leg just slightly up, off the floor.
And really thinking about lengthening through your quadriceps. To take it to a deeper stretch,
lift your quad up a little higher, off the floor. And pull in, with your hands. And then
while you’re holding the stretch, just gently breathe in through your nose. Out through
your mouth. And every time you exhale, see if you can lift your leg up, a little higher.
And while you’re stretching your quadriceps, you’re actually getting a great gluteal workout.
At the same time. You’re also working that lower back. So we’re strengthening and lengthening,
all at the same time. Just continue to breathe. And then when you’re finished on one leg,
then you can go to the other leg. Hold for about twenty to thirty seconds on each side.
And that’s your Quad stretch.
