What is Protein? | Sunwarrior Plant Protein Powder

Here’s some exciting news for anyone who’s
ever had to choke down a nasty glass of protein. Sunwarrior has created something
new, a protein so delicious even monkeys love it, and monkeys
can be pretty picky, we think. Meet our friends, Tom and Cindy. Tom wants
to lose weight and build muscle. Cindy wants to eat and feel healthier. They
went to a health food store where they were told they needed more protein
and given huge tubs of protein powder. Tom and Cindy both tried these
protein powders, mixing them with just about anything to make them taste
better, but nothing worked. Even when they managed to make the protein
taste, eh, somewhat okay, Tom and Cindy felt bloated, heavy, gassy, and
unhappy. Tom and Cindy have heard many times they need
protein to reach their health goals, but are they getting enough? Too much?
And what is protein anyhow? Protein is made up of long chains. Not those
chains. These chains are made up of amino acids linked together to make
complex structures our bodies need to build muscle, digest food, drive metabolism,
and do a million other important things. So where does protein come from? The truth
is all energy originally comes from the sun. Plants capture the energy of
sunlight, combining it with carbon from the air and hydrogen, oxygen,
minerals, and nitrogen pulled from the soil to make all kinds of interesting
things, like carbohydrates for structure and fuel, antioxidants to protect
them from damage, and protein for strength and to make enzymes.
These then travel up the food chain to monkeys and us. It makes sense to get the original solar energy
and amino acids from the source – plants. Sunwarrior protein comes
only from plants and isn’t processed or cooked over and over again, like
other proteins. It’s raw and as close to the original solar energy as possible.
Drinking this protein is like being one with nature, sweet, sunshiny,
blessed nature. Let’s take a look at our monkey friend again.
If he doesn’t get enough protein, his muscles get smaller, his hair
gets thin and patchy, he feels weak, and he gets sick easily. Sad monkey.
But too much protein is bad too. If our monkey gets way more than his little
monkey body needs, he gains weight, thanks to all the extra calories,
and he loses water as his poor liver and kidneys try desperately to get rid
of the excess. That’s not good either. Sunwarrior provides just the right amount
of protein. Not too much, not too little. Don’t want pesticides, artificial
gunk, genetic modifications, preservatives, gluten, or radiation? Who would?
Don’t worry, Sunwarrior doesn’t have any of that. They use only the
finest plant proteins. They also don’t use soy, for those who have allergies,
or don’t want the phytoestrogens in soy messing around with
their hormones. The next generation of protein is here, breaking
through the constraints of other protein powders that leave you, Tom,
Cindy, and our monkey feeling bloated, gassy, and unhappy with the flavor.
Sunwarrior tastes fantastic and is perfect for anyone and any lifestyle,
not just vegans and vegetarians. They have protein made by nature
specifically for Cindy the fitness guru, stressed business woman, or
multiple marathon runner, and Tom the tri-athlete, workaholic, or weight lifter.
Cindy and Tom will get the results they want with the protein they need,
since Sunwarrior won’t slow them down as they make their way toward a
healthier, plant-based life. Visit Sunwarrior.com to learn more about plant
based nutrition and to see how you can experience the healthy benefits
for yourself. Try Classic Protein or Warrior Blend. Each one offers
a complete amino acid profile without the bloat. Subscribe, leave a comment,

  19. I love the classic vanilla. Unfortunately I have two bags of warrior blend that I can't tolerate full force. Can I bake with it perhaps? I need to find other ways to use it since about all I can handle is 1/5 of a scoop in with my scoop of classic vanilla. Oh and it's not Sunwarrior's fault! I had a lot of dental work done and now everything tastes different :/

  20. Sunwarrior has changed my life and made me understand the true meaning of a well balanced protien blend. 23. This really IS the best powder around. I got turned onto it while at Hippocrates Health Institute – to use in a pinch. I mix vanilla and chocolate powder together – and just mix with water – in glass jars I reuse from nut butters or other supplies. I've never been a powder user but Sunwarrior is awesome – I also have the green powder. Thanks!!

  28. "A protein sooooo delicious"????? It tastes awful you mean!!! Everything is good about the product but please don't lie about the taste. I bought it (and some of my friends did too) but no one loves how it tastes. Definitely the most awful taste I've ever had for a protein shake…

  29. was just about to purchase this stuff when i noticed that you guys have changed the formula. people are now complaining that the the serving size went up and the amino acid amount went down. not to mention that its not as tasty as it once was. think i will pass until you guys do the right thing. source: http://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R1FN394SW45WKU/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B005WLY4L8#R1FN394SW45WKU

Most microorganisms and plants can biosynthesize all 20 standard amino acids, while animals (including humans) must obtain some of the amino acids from the diet. The amino acids that an organism cannot synthesize on its own are referred to as essential amino acids. Key enzymes that synthesize certain amino acids are not present in animals — such as aspartokinase, which catalyzes the first step in the synthesis of lysine, methionine, and threonine from aspartate. If amino acids are present in the environment, microorganisms can conserve energy by taking up the amino acids from their surroundings and downregulating their biosynthetic pathways.

In animals, amino acids are obtained through the consumption of foods containing protein. Ingested proteins are then broken down into amino acids through digestion, which typically involves denaturation of the protein through exposure to acid and hydrolysis by enzymes called proteases. Some ingested amino acids are used for protein biosynthesis, while others are converted to glucose through gluconeogenesis, or fed into the citric acid cycle. This use of protein as a fuel is particularly important under starvation conditions as it allows the body's own proteins to be used to support life, particularly those found in muscle.[63] Amino acids are also an important dietary source of nitrogen.

  33. I absolutely love this protein. I am using it for a vegan version of the Belocity diet by T Nation. I have only one complaint, and that is the chalkiness of the product. Any recommendations on how to lower the chalkiness?

  34. uhhm but most monkeys just eat occasional little animals to get more protein….still like the protein powder 🙂

  35. The Oestrogen of soy is not like that of the sex hormone.  I'm not exactly sure how, but I heard a scientist talking about why they are different molecularly.

  36. Just bought 3 more containers and each time I go I check out the competition (I won't even get into Vega..SMFH) and nobody comes near Sunwarrior. I recommend this to ALL of my athletes and nearly all of them are using it and LOVE it. Even their parents are using it.

I also add this to my pancake mix. for a more chocolate taste I add a bunch of protein powder. Simply add more almond milk to the mix because it obviously gets thicker when you add the powder.

Thanks @Sunwarrior ! I think it's time for me to become a retailer..:)

  37. I use your product every morning with fruit and pure organic apple juice. Very good. Very pleased with Sun Warrior.

  38. This was awesome! I have been comparing the nutrition of protein powders from many different companies and this company seems to be the best overall! I still have to try it out…

  39. I resent being forced to watch a nearly 5 minute ad in order to watch my preferred exercise videos. 60 seconds is fine. I will find my exercise videos from other sources rather than be forced to watch these excessively long videos.

  40. Hi Sunwarrior. I am interested in your products and was about to purchase it from Iherb but I have couple of questions that left me a little undecided. Firstly you state that the Sun Warrior, Warrior Blend, Raw Vegan Protein, Natural is organic but I see not Organic Label in the Package. Secondly I see Sodium in your protein powders and I don't understand why. I can live with some sodium in it as I generally eat with not added salt at all only little potassium but why the Organic Label Stamp missing from the packages? Without it any company can write on the box pretty much anything to sell when in reality can use not organic ingredients also. Thank you.

  41. I love sunwarrior but can't afford that sunwarrior price. I'm a have get the orgain or purely inspired vegan protein blends. Maybe when I get some extra cash I'll get some sunwarrior protein.

  42. Guys your protein doesnt have a good taste i dont say for a very nice taste but at morning they make me puke!Sorry for saying this stuff but you have done good work keep working and put the taste that you say so we can know what we want exactly!!
